Schedule Information: Hours vary; generally early morning through afternoon shifts

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoors in nature, however some time will be spent outside on the playground.  Must be able to stand for long periods and take the children on long walks throughout campus.  Ability to quickly maneuver within the classroom and on the playground (running, rising from a floor position or child's chair). Must be able to lift independently up to a 50lb. child.

Duties of Position: Assists in the planning and implementing the preschool program activities under the direction of the program supervisor.

Assists in the management of the preschool classroom.

Reports classroom experiences and collaborates with the program supervisor.

Assists in communicating with parents through newsletters and parent conferences.

Assists in maintaining cumulative records of children's development.

Attends professional meetings and maintains professional competence.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements: Associate Degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.

Experience Requirements: Six months experience in child care field.
