Schedule Information: Will determine schedule based on student's availability.  Must have some availability to work during the following hours:

Maximum hours per week:  20

Duties of Position: Assist the Welding program and its students with various duties in the lab and classroom settings.

Student Aide will monitor the Welding lab and assist welding students with projects. 

Student Aide will take inventory and report to Pro-Tech on supply needs. 

Other duties will include organization and clean up of lab and classroom facility, mail, correspondence, supply delivery, and equipment maintenance. 

Student Aide will be responsible for monitoring student activity in the lab following a checklist of rules and expectations. 

Student Aide will report to the Pro-Tech for daily instructions, and the Pro-Tech will keep Coordinator informed on activities. Special projects may also be assigned.

Education Requirements:  In order to apply for this position, you must be a current MFT, MNT or WLD Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer)

Experience Requirements:  Student aide must be computer literate to the extent they can create files/folders and learn print set ups. Student will be organized and conscientious about duties and complete tasks on time. They will be polite and courteous to students working in the lab and will seek help from Pro-Tech when issues arise. They will take direction well and have a positive attitude. They must be able to safely lift at least 40 pounds
