Duties of Position:  

Create eye-catching graphics for campus bulletin boards and social media. Write copy, manage content.

Attend events and promote on social media.

Create and maintain vlogs of events and activities for the department.

Staff tables and engage in student outreach to promote department, and student clubs and organizations.

Planning, goal setting and collaboration with full-time staff and other student assistants.

Maintain campus bulletin boards, and portable signs. Assist with campus mailers.

Adhere to College and department best practices, policies and procedures.

Efficiently uses and maintains College equipment.

Must be available for weekly production meetings. Flexible schedule necessary to work campus events at various hours, including evenings and some weekends. Work is both in-office and throughout campus.

Education Requirements:  Harper College student enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer) of employment. Minimum 2.0 GPA. Work-study student preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Required Skills: Graphics, including layout and design for print and electronic media. Social media marketing including Instagram, Facebook, real-time video, & photography. Excellent spelling and grammar skills required.

Preferred Skills:  Exceptional communication skills needed. Adobe creative suite, social media, photography and vlog experience. Good concept of visual design.

Schedule Information: Will determine schedule based on student's availability.  Must be available for weekly production meetings. Flexible schedule necessary to work campus events at various hours, including evenings and some weekends. Work is both in-office and throughout campus. Must have some availability to work during the following hours:

Sunday

 

Monday

 8:00 a.m. - 7:00p.m.

Tuesday

 8:00 a.m. - 7:00p.m.

Wednesday

 8:00 a.m. - 7:00p.m.

Thursday

 8:00 a.m. - 7:00p.m.

Friday

 8:00 a.m. - 4:30p.m.

Saturday

 

Maximum hours per week: 20 hours. Some after-hours and evening work will occur during peak programming times.
