Job Description: The Department of Physical Science and Engineering is looking to hire an adjunct instructor to teach PHY 121 Introductory Physics I in the Spring of 2024. This is the first semester of the algebra-based sequence for biological science and architecture majors.
Education Requirements: Master’s degree in physics or appropriate engineering discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate-level coursework in appropriate physics and/or engineering courses; or master’s degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in graduate-level physics.
Experience Requirements: Previous experience teaching algebra-based at the college level, use of microcomputer-based labs and ability to work with course management systems such as Blackboard are preferred qualifications. The teaching requirement may be fulfilled through a program of supervised teaching as a graduate student.
