Schedule Information: Monday-Friday: 8am-4:30pm (Occasional evening and weekend shifts required for performances)

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature. Work schedule consists of flexible days and hours including nights and weekends. Set up for event needs includes occasionally lifting up to 30lbs, pushing carts of approximately 50lbs.
Duties of Position:
Box Office
Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Box Office.
Responsible for creating an appropriate staffing schedule for the office to cover all operating business hours.
Responsible for staffing the event schedule with appropriate front-of-house personnel for each event in the Performing Arts Center, J-Theatre, Drama Lab, Outdoor Pavilion and other venues on campus requiring EMD staff members.
Collaborates with the Operations Manager for staff hiring, training, and evaluation.
Maintains departmental employee time records such as attendance and tardiness.
Ensures the office always provides a high standard of customer service.
Leads resolution of all customer problems and issues that are escalated up from the part-time and student staff.
Manages the ticket sales process. Maintains the ticketing system. Receives cash, checks, and charges from customers for the purchase of box office tickets.
Operates ticketing system for reservations and ticket sales.
Produces daily computer-generated sales reports which are necessary for reconciliation.
Responsible for the daily reconciliation of all cash, checks and credit card receipts.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the ticketing system. Generates various financial, sales and patron reports from the system.
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the ticketing system, including, but not limited to setting up all events, printing ticket inventory, and maintenance of customer database files.
Maintains inventory of discount tickets, office supplies, and equipment. Initiates requisitions for ordering supplies, equipment, and service and submits to supervisor for approval.
Recommends potential opportunities to provide discount tickets to students.
Responsible for the contents of the safe and makes sure there is always adequate cash. Deposits revenue in Business Office on an as-needed basis.
Prepares memos and correspondence, time sheets, ticket requests, event reports and other materials as required.
House Management
Serves as on-site contact for events sponsored by campus groups (except athletic and Wojcik Conference Center events) and any outside presenters who use the campus Theatre facilities (may be sole on-site contact for small events).
Responsible for house management operations including green room/dressing room set up, concessions, security, crowd control, appearance, cleanliness (house, lobby, restrooms), public safety, and comfort.
Assists with recruitment, training, and supervision of usher core.
Schedules and coordinates ushers as requested by event sponsor/needs of event.
Maintains appropriate attendance and incident reports.
ID Card Office
Coordinates and assists with ID Card production. Includes issuing ID Cards and Badges to students, faculty, staff, and guests (Contractors and Vendors), and hiring, training, and scheduling of ID Card system personnel.
Operates and maintains the ID Card system. Includes setting up ID Card and Badge types in the system, online student ID Card requests, and troubleshooting card printing errors.
Maintains the inventory of supplies and equipment. Initiates requisitions for ordering supplies, equipment and service, and submits to supervisor for approval.
Collaborates with campus departments to provide ID Card services for constituents of those locations.
Other responsibilities
Attends bi-monthly department staff meetings.
Serves on committees and teams as needed.
Assists and supports department staff in any of their functions as needed.
Assists with internal event scheduling as needed.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: Associate Degree required or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements: Two years experience working in a box office and/or ID card office required. Cashier/money handling experience required. Ticket sales or systems experience, and bookkeeping experience helpful. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
