Schedule Information: Seasonal position would be available May - August as well as late November - January. Two positions are available.
Day-time Position: Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. & Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Afternoon/Evening Position: Monday - Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. & Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Please Note* Saturday hours would not be needed during the months of June & July
Hours Per Week: 24
Work Conditions: Office setting, primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.
Duties of Position:
To respond to the immediate needs of all whom contact the Assessment Center, whether they are in person or by telephone. Responsible for performing the clerical/reception duties during the busiest office hours.
Answers telephones, responds to emails, and checks identification, takes and distributes messages.
Distributes appropriate tests.
Records daily, all online testers, distributes answer paperwork to faculty and inventories weekly all online tests.
Receives and records testing fees paid by students.
Ensures security, readability and filing of tests, and security of department & computers.
Proctors test takers to maintain security.
Assists in administering computer based tests.
Sorts and distributes mail.
Assists in scoring tests.
Fills out appropriate paperwork as is required.
Monitors office supplies and maintains decorum of testing rooms.
Collaborates with the Access and Disability Services office to assure materials needed for specialized, accommodated testing are distributed.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Basic computer skills training.
Experience Requirements: One to two years general office experience. Experience working with public and familiarity with computers.
