Schedule Information: This is a full time, tenure track position. Teaches 15 hours per week and maintains a minimum of 10 office hours per week for student consultation. Serves on college committees; participates in departmental and divisional initiatives.
Weeks per fiscal year: Faculty are covered under a 9-month contract period (August thru May)

Position Description and Duties: This is a full time, tenure track position. The successful candidate will teach courses to prepare students for careers in law enforcement and ancillary fields. This includes providing instruction in law enforcement, justice administration, and forensics as it applies to investigative practices. The Harper College Law Enforcement and Justice Administration department has an excellent reputation for providing quality education.
Maintains highest possible standards of classroom and laboratory instruction; applies innovative teaching and learning pedagogies; keeps abreast of new information and developments in law enforcement and justice administration.
Educational Requirements: Master's Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or related fields required. Professional certifications preferred.
Experience Requirements: Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice or teaching experience required. Must be an effective, enthusiastic teacher committed to teaching at the community college level.
