Duties of Position:
Responsible for providing customer, general office and HRIS support for the employment area of the Human Resources Department. This involves ongoing maintenance of 9 different systems including HR Oracle, SIS Banner, E-Verify, Onboarding and SURS; file and database recordkeeping; customer service reception; and miscellaneous state reporting.
Processes required HR and payroll information for all employees: new hires, promotions, separations, address updates, and employee-initiated self-service updates. Also maintains educational degree and ongoing professional development information as well as previous employment data entry.
Conducts ongoing investigation/troubleshooting for online Action Notice processing problems or concerns. Follow up and training to the end user completes each investigation.
Creates/maintains confidential personnel records and files for all employees, involving Social Security verification, document verification, transcript processing and more. Communication with departments is extensive.
Coordinates and conducts monthly New employee orientations.
Processes employment verifications
Maintains the required labor law posters for the college
Provides project assistance to the Systems and Employment Manager as needed throughout the year
Performs related duties as assigned
Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent with basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills required.
Experience Requirements: Two to three years of customer service and general office experience. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software required. Human Resources and Internet experience desired.
